KANSAS CITY, MO – The Belger Arts Center will launch two new exhibits on First Friday, March 7. This exhibit, with more than 70 artworks, reinforces the Belger Arts Center’s commitment to presenting museum-quality exhibits in the Crossroads Arts District. Terry Winters has been a force on the American art scene for more than 25 years.

Concurrently, Creighton Michael: Cursive will open in the Belger’s East Gallery on the third floor of the Belger Building. Creighton Michael will conduct a Gallery Talk at 6 pm on opening night. Michael, who holds an MFA from Washington University in St. Louis, has been based in New York for more than two decades. His work, in both two and three-dimensional formats, explores the various facets of drawing from its material composition, its physical articulation associated with process and its involvement with emerging patterns to its relationships with other marking activities, such as calligraphy and notation.
